Uomasa
×Oraga-don (house seafood bowl)
Why you must eat it"Oraga" is Kamogawa dialect for "our home." Each shop's pride is a bowl of its own; Uomasa's carries eleven things — fish tatsuta, seared alfonsino, flounder, tamagoyaki, octopus, geoduck. The toppings change with the day's season. One bowl and you know the whole Kamogawa sea.
A local-fish house in Amatsu, a leading name in Kamogawa's "oraga-don." The bowl is a local dish that several shops each serve their own way, proposed by the town's food-culture group, using Chiba-brand fish like line-caught Sotobo alfonsino. Open midday from 11 and again at night. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
