×Kaisen-don (seafood bowl)
Why you must eat itIf oraga-don is "the bowl of the shop's ideas," this is the plain royal road — local sashimi laid straight over rice. Bonito, alfonsino, flounder, octopus, yellowtail — the day's face of the Sotobo sea becomes the bowl. Close to port the fish is fresh, and a single pass of soy is enough. Sit for a bowl.
Around Kamogawa's station and coast are several diners serving local seafood bowls. The Sotobo coast lands bonito, alfonsino and spiny lobster, and the toppings rotate with the season. Apart from the elaborate oraga-don, a straight seafood bowl is also a Kamogawa staple.
