Why you must eat itCrab, shell and all, folded through curry powder and egg. Not spicy — the smell is sweet with egg and curry. You pick the meat from the shell and spoon the egg and sauce over rice. It gets messy, so a paper bib comes with it. Served by the red-shirted stall at the mouth of Soi Texas, across from T&K.
Pu pad pong curry is a Thai standard, but eating it at a Yaowarat stall is the special part. Lek & Rut is one of Soi Texas's two big seafood carts alongside T&K, the crab priced by market rate. Not cheap, but easier to reach than the same dish sitting down at a famous house. Evening until late.
