Why you must eat itRolled tubes of rice noodle simmered in a clear, heavily peppered broth, topped with pork offal and crisp-fried pork belly, the pepper hot enough to raise a sweat. The rolls come apart in the mouth as you slurp. This cart has stood in front of the China Town Rama cinema for over fifty years, and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Guay jub is a Teochew noodle dish and a Yaowarat signature. It splits the crowd with Nai Ek nearby, both Bib Gourmand. The pepper in the broth is the point, so ask for less if you are heat-shy. It opens in the evening and stays busy with locals until late.
