Steakhouse, Kokusai-dori
×Steak (the closing steak)
Why you must eat itA lean steak seared on iron and brought out on the hot plate. You build the taste to your liking with tabletop A1 sauce, a soy-based sauce, or salt and pepper. Often served as a set with rice or bread and soup. Some shops open late, and eating steak as a "closer" after awamori is a distinctly Okinawan habit.
Steak took root in Okinawa with postwar American culture, and shops serving cheap, thick cuts multiplied. Eating steak as a closer after drinking is much like ramen elsewhere. Old and new houses line Kokusai-dori. Prices and hours are a guide, so check on site.
