A roadside mitarashi-dango stall near Gion-Shijo station that opens only at night. It starts grilling over charcoal at a set hour and ends when sold out. Unlike the tourist-packed daytime, it shows a local face of the night. From a plain storefront they pass the fresh-grilled skewers one by one. The hours are short and it is often closed when you go, so it is called "phantom." If the timing fits, a place to drop by to close a night stroll.
