Kotoimo Honpo
×Grilled Mitarashi Dango
Why you must eat itA sweets shop near the entrance to the bamboo grove, famous for its large grilled mitarashi dango. Big dumplings are charcoal-grilled fragrant, then coated thick with a sweet-savoury sauce made fresh daily at the shop. One skewer is filling, the chewy dumplings wrapped in a sauce heavy with soy. There is also "Kotoimo" made from sweet potato, dango beyond mitarashi, and soft serve. On the way to the bamboo grove or Togetsukyo, easy to drop by for a skewer to eat one-handed.
