Omiya (eel & tempura) Premium Unaju

Omiya (eel & tempura)

×Premium Unaju

Why you must eat itThe sauce, said to have been topped up for two hundred years, is distinctly lighter than Kawatoyo next door. It does not push the sweetness forward; it lets the eel's own fat come through. There are tatami rooms and private rooms, so you can sit properly at the end of the walk. This is the second of the two.

An eel and tempura house of over three hundred years, now in its eleventh generation, standing next door to Kawatoyo at 384 Nakacho. Tempura is equally their trade, so if eel feels heavy you can take a tendon instead. They close at 4pm, so pace your walk down the approach accordingly.
